Joe Goates

Physical Therapist, PT, DPT, OCS
Kennewick Clinic Manager

Dr. Joe Goates was born and raised in the mountains of Utah where he enjoyed participating in a variety of athletic teams.  He pursued his collegiate education from the University of Utah where he received his Bachelor degree in 2007 followed by his Doctorate in 2010. After graduation he moved with his wife and children to the Tri-Cities.  They have 4 children.  Joe has received board certification in orthopaedics, advanced certification in vestibular and balance disorders, and is trained in Graston Soft Tissue Technique.  He has continued his education to include further training in many modalities including:  manual therapy, myofascial release, strain-counterstrain, KinesioTaping, and treatment of headaches and migraines, to name a few. His treatment approach is focused on restoring proper movement patterns and function and not in simply treating one’s symptoms. He enjoys community outreach and participates in local fairs, expos and public speaking to increase awareness of the benefits of exercise, physical therapy, and a healthy lifestyle.  When he is not at work he provides community service, coaches his children’s sport’s teams, and plays on teams of his own. His recreational basketball team has won the league championships 3 years running.
